Valve Nuts

Not sure if im using the right wording here;

Bought a lower tube kit off here, neither it nor the S5 body came with a valve nut. (I think thats the word for it?)

My question is; Are all valve nuts the same? For example, would one out of an empire sniper fit a CCM, and would one out of a CCM fit a WGP cocker?

Thanks guys, if anyone knows the specific dimensions for a hardware store to get one that'd be great too.

Im fairly certain empire sniper internals are non standard, but i think that youd be good with a standard valve nut.

correct me if i'm wrong but an empire sniper is actually a karni body design, and i believe all parts are interchangable with a wgp, unsure of the ccm's but i think they may also be the same as far as the valve nut.

The sniper uses a 5/16th (I'm pretty sure of this) like the ccm ss-25, and the wgp trilogy. No idea bout the valve nut though, could try giving ccm a call? Good luck!

5/16 is wgp also

This valve is 5/16" CCM SS25 Lower Tube Kit 4D0060 SS25 | eBay
This is a "normal" autococker valve (no idea on size, and don't feel like tearing mine apart) CCM Lower Tube Kit AC Style 4D0060 | eBay

So wgp is not 5/16" unless it is a trilly, I also want to say there were a few other models that used the 5/16" valve as well.

After a little research just to be sure of myself all valve nuts require the same wgp valve tool to remove and are generally the same size. Some may have tighter tolerances when manufactured. But as far as i can tell all valve/jam nuts in the markers mentioned are all interchangable. Wgp->ccm empire has no valve/jam nut . All are based on Bud Or' s design. If i am wrong please post a link to show it.

This is a silly statement considering i have three autococker's all different makes (one an 05 prostock' one an outkast, and one a pyschoballistic superbolt) that all require the same 5/16th wgp valve tool to remove the jam nut. Matter of fact pre-2k and 2k+ still have the same nut. Just saying

Lol. I think i may have been confused about what we were talking we talking bottom screw or internal retention screw. I thought we were talking the latter. I ll kindly shut up now unless i have a link for you.

I believe the Empire Sniper uses the larger 11/16 valve. The WGP guns that used 11/16 valves were the Trillys, the 2k5 Black Magic midblock and the JOLEs. All other WGP cockers used a 9/16 valve. The 9/16 valve used a jam nut, the 11/16 valve did not.

I'm not absolutely sure on this, but I believe the CCM S5 and SS-25 (just a mini'd S5) used the 11/16 valve and didn't need a jam nut. That would be why the kit didn't come with one.

The Sniper does not even have a jam nut to steal.
