Odd Ball CP regulator with male 1/8 npt threads?

Anyone ever seen one of these?

Any idea what it's supposed to do? Or what marker it fits?

Could it be for the DM8/9? Whichever one had those smaller threads, I can't remember what it was actually threaded for.

Maybe it is for one of John Rices Alien guns? I believe they came with CP regs.

Kind of looks like a direct mount to a older Proto Rail?

Nope: Custom Products - 2008 DYE Threads (Shorty Style)

Have you confirmed it to be 1/8" NPT or is it possibly metric? I am thinking Spyder?

Those flat sides on top are also throwing me off. Really looks like it would fit a mini cocker style reg to use w/o an adapter to me too.
