thompson stock?

i have a few thompson stocks i was thinking about selling/trading. when i got them together i noticed one was not the same as the rest. any idea what this is for. thought maybe some other model of thompson but not sure. here are some pics of it with a stock i know is for thompson.

The top one is from a Thompson M1A1 (slightly refined design, used by the Army in WWII), and the bottom one is from the M1928A1 (earlier design mainly used by the Marines in WWII; more expensive to manufacture mainly due to the cooling fins on the barrel and the Cutts compensator, which were removed in the M1-series).
