Fiber Optic Sights - Colour Combinations
I am picking up some parts for my pistol that will put a set of fiber optic sights on it, and I have a choice of three (3) colours.
RED YELLOW and GREEN
I have searched the internet and read forums and such, some saying that a green front sight is better than a red, some saying that red is better than green, some saying yellow are best for rear sights. There doesn't seem to be a general consensus.
I have been thinking either
RED GREEN RED
GREEN RED GREEN
So here is my question for all of the intelligent people on here.
Which colour combination do you think is the best and why? It doesn't have to be one of the two I mentioned, but it would have to be a combination of the three colours mentioned above.

Check out the post above. CJOttawa and I mounted fiber optic sights on our DSPs (CJ sold his since then). I went with grn red grn.
Unfortunately "want" and "need" are two very different things...

so I see that grn red grn is pretty popular, is there a specific reason for this? I read something about some sights are coloured so that they can be recognized faster by our eyes or something.

Facta Non Verba
Green is more visible to the human eye than red. While you can see both, the green will appear brighter. It stands to reason that out of the two you want green as the front sight.

I find that a green front blends into spring foliage too much, so my choice would be red front and green rear.
