| Newbie Join Date: Aug 2007 | High pressure tank on low pressure gun Hi all, I have questions but considering most local paintball shops seem to be disappearing, I have turned to you fine people for answers. My question is if it is okay to put a high pressure tank on a low pressure gun. To be specific, I picked up a dye throttle stubby and an invert mini this past weekend. With all the hustle and bustle of the crowd and sale, I completely did not ask if the tank was low pressure (turns out it is not). Therefore is it okay? Are there any side affects of this set up? Thanks to all who look and bigger thanks to those who respond |

The regulator that is on the gun, or the secondary regulator, will regulate the air pressure down to the low pressure needed for the gun to operate. Unless you have a secondary regulator that only takes in low pressure air, then you are fine. The regs that only take in low pressure air are not very common anymore, and the reg in the Mini is not one of them, so no problems! |
