ACI Hornet

What is the value of an ACI Hornet? I have the chance to get one for 20 dollars cdn + shipping, a good deal? It looks like it has a bottom line adaptor.

Also it's a trracer clone right? So will trracer stuff work with it?

I believe it is the under pumper version of a traccer.... so everything but the the pump and bolt from a tracer will fit (unless you can take a traccer bolt and turn it 90 degrees and the pump rod fits.. that I'm not sure on). Otherwise barrels will fit.

I would get it... especially if it has the bottmline.

Yeah, I'd definitely pick it up for that price.

You can sell a bottomline adapter for a trracer for about that price these days...

Awesome guys, I am the new owner of a Hornet. With shipping from 3 provinces over it came to $40.

Not a bad price for my first actual pump (I don't really count my splatmaster). I'll pick up a 9oz tank with a butt plate and I should be good to go.

Other than barrel upgrades, what should/can I do to mod it?

you could put on a stock class feed with a little bit of modification

^ not much modification, just take a 3/4in copper elbow and squish the non gun end a bit for a tube to wedge in tight.

You can respring it to maximize efficiency, but if you're running bulk air, it's not really necessary. Nice buy though

respring for velocity, unless you have the deluxe bolt in it (adjustable bolt), do watch for seals and oil her up a bit, and youre good to go these things are tough little guys that performs pretty good for their values

I just got this thing the other day, what does the adjustable bolt look like? In mine if i put an allen key down the middle I can remove a brass part, like it unscrews. Is that the velocity adjuster?
