Got to dryshoot my Phantom today (with the new Undercocking kit installed) and it was loud, contrary to what i've seen or rather heard on youtube before, does this mean something should be replaced, is broken or something similar?

That is probably to be expected since the barrel is unported and lacks a tpc. The new tpcs help diffuse the gas and affect the sound quite a bit.

Mine is very loud. There's no porting so that's normal.

Phantoms sound louder to the shooter than they do to victims down range. I have an '89 w/removable barrel. Waxed peeps with it yesterday. Sweet!

I find that it depends. My stock phantom with standard tpc and stock hammer running on 12 grams is pretty quite. But the minute you start lightening hammers and drilling out the tpc, or switching to hpa, things get louder in a hurry. It changes to more of a sharp pop.

You just gotta try to hear one of those Phantom uni's all drilled out by Smart Parts, nothing but a "Click" of the hammer hitting the shoulder on the power tube.

Nice one. I just sold my unibody Express model also (s/n 4643) and I'm regretting it. I sent the frame to CCI to get the logos etched again before I sold it. Still regretting it.
