If there's no serial number, it's either not a factory WGP body, or it was fly-cut on the side to thin it and/or shave off the numbers. Mic the bottom half of the body just above the VASA. If it's nominally 1", it wasn't milled down, and thus not a WGP body. The vert feed is, however, decidedly not WGP. Most stock verts had an extruded body with a pressed in neck. The milled boss for the neck makes me think it's either an AKA Merlin body, or... who was it, Air America that did a limited run of vert-feed raw bodies, back when WGP was selling vert body kits for like $350? I seem to recall the AA bodies had the WGP-style male threads for the feed neck, milled into the body. Unscrew the neck (or look down inside) and if there's no evidence of a pressed in neck, that's probably the body. Anyway, the milling is pretty much all custom. The front block is, I think, a relatively late model KAPP unit, and the backblock is an older KAPP make. Bolt looks like a Shocktech, and the drop's a Centerflag. Can's say it's the most attractive marker I've ever seen, but if it works well, who cares? ![]() Doc.

| Gobble Gobble... | I'm still thinking it's a custom one-off, but it might be worth looking into seeing if it's a Rudy Dean without the typical low pressure chamber up front. They are the only modern cockers I can think of that were sold without any sort of ball detent - Rudy intended them to be underbored enough that they couldn't double feed. From what I can remember all of his bodies took angel threaded feednecks though, so that may rule this one out. Like I said, probably a unique custom gun. Either way it looks nice! |

Don't touch it. Leave it as it is. It's perfect. Later, Blackrain

Certainly not impossible, or even unlikely. The overall build doesn't really look like a Punisher product, but he's been out of the game for a while, and any number of mods might have been done to it since. For that matter, it might be that Pun just did the milling and anno, and sent the parts back to the customer to be assembled. I've done that kind of thing hundreds of times... Many years ago, and several computers ago, I had a folderful of modded markers, mostly 'Cockers. There were hundreds of pics of one-off 'Cockers (or just bodies) done by any number of garage-shop airsmiths. Rhino Joe, Miscreant, Timberwolf, White Wolf, Brad nestle, Jeremy Garrett, you name it. There were a handful of bodies done by a guy called "Dive Rat", who, it seemed, had made it his life's mission to see how fancy he could make a 'Cocker backblock. ![]() So there's thousands of 'Cockers (and Snipers) out there that were heavily customized by some random Joe Blow, who never got "famous" enough to have a recognizable style, and who has probably long since quit the sport. Doc.

Its a cocker... I remember when everyone was doing some odd custom thing with theirs. Hell my friend dropped over 3k in his autococker back in 98-99. He sent the body and block out to have milled then sent it some place else to anno everything. Put it all together with all his "dream" parts. TBH does it really matter? Its sexy. :P |

| Mad Science of Paintball Join Date: Jul 2011 | -Unfortunately, the majority of them were lost in various computer failures. Back then, I never worried too much about archiving pictures I'd found online, since I could always go back to the place I found them and see 'em again. ![]() I do have a bunch saved on CDs, but they're in one of several disorganized boxes somewhere. The only ones I have immediate access to are these, that I found on an old CD I stumbled across a few months ago. While I'm pretty sure these are samples of "Dive Rat's" work, I can't say for sure- and I never saw or talked to DR anywhere but Warpig's old "Pig Chat" room. Feel privileged. Unless somebody else has these saved somewhere, these pics probably haven't been available online in fifteen years. ![]() First was a fairly basic body with "gills": ![]() He expanded on that by incorporating the back block into the gills themselves: ![]() Keep in mind this was done back in 1995, maybe early 1996. And finally, the above body annoed and assembled: ![]() Doc.
