Freak insert cases. What do you use?
I often find myself bringing three sets of inserts to the field. Why three you wonder? Well, I have backs for my Ditto Deuce and many other guns. I would leave guns set-up instead of switching inserts back and forth throughout the day.
The Freak cases are large. I am looking for something smaller and maybe soft sided. I know there has been a thread in the past about this, but I couldn't located it.
Something that would hold one or multiple sets of inserts.
I used to use a battle Boy barrel bag, it'd hold the whole kit and rolls up nice. just gotta squish them out of the bottem part to get the lower inserts.
I use a pursuit pod. The hold 6 inserts in a tube style case. There is one pictured in the bottom right of the case.
9 inserts if you don't put any barrels in. It's made by Deadlywind.
Marathons and CJOttawa's ideas win. there can be nothing better. :P
IF it was me I would probably used a freak case, taped all to hell to keep those auto-break windows together.
I really just need to take out the large bore ones that I never use and leave them at home.
The pursuit pods are really the best way to store freak inserts. The long version will hold lots of them too, two per section.
Right now my inserts are just loose in my case. I use the large padded rifle case that comes with the T9 and I just let them sit on the top layer with my pistol.
I use persuit pods to hold nearly complete sets(I carry one aluminum and 1 S.Steel set)
My mag has its own "mini" set in a Choke tube case(1 in the marker, 3 in the case).
I might just get a bunch of choke tube cases as they see to be smaller profile and fit in the case better with the marker. They are also like lined with felt or something so its very soft on them.
