If you get a T2, I personally don't like the pump against the barrel, get the t-grip pump.
It's different than the original S6 so it gets better efficiency than one of those, something like 30% better if I recall correctly. But I'm almost positive that the T2 and 6.5 share the same guts. I unfortunately don't have a 6.5 anymore to double check, which makes me sad. I need to change that, and soon haha!

Edit: Found this post describing the differences.

4) Top tube is removable to accept different top tubes (Left, right, and center feed). This is held on with two t-10 Torx Screws.
5) Vertical ASA is not integral (it uses a bolt to hold it on).
6) The top tube can be ordered to accept sizers that allow for one barrel to be used with many different sizers.

Bottom tube internals are the same and, in my opinion, they perform nearly exactly the same - in that they are awesome!

Thanks Rocker. I am now leaning towards the 6.5. Now to figure out a color scheme.

One more thing to consider, the new T2's come with the "Quad Rod" system which eliminates all binding on the pump stroke.

I shoot a T2 and a good friend shoots a 6.5. For me it came down to looks because I think they shoot almost identical. It looks like you made your decision. Either way you go, you cannot go wrong with anything CCM makes.

My T2 is one of the newer ones with the quad rod system. My only issue with it is that I am not a huge fan of the round pump handles. CCM isn't looking at making any other handles for that system in the near future. That is something else to consider on which T2 version someone might want to get.

I thought the T2 was a little more efficient because of it's modular design. It gave them the ability to make the transfer holes between the upper and lower tubes the perfect size. I'd still take a S6.5 though, just because they are beautiful guns. T2 but isn't bad either, but they are no .5.
