was using a freak kit on my cocker today, clean barrel, good insert match and FPS was 275-280 but my shots were all over the place. anyone have some ideas about what was going on. Thanks in advance.

Batteries are for toys, not paintball guns.

PMI-II Piranha SB, Sterling STP, Nelson Challenger, VM-68, I play with guns older than my wife.

Wish list; automag, nova/supernova

Try different inserts next time to see if it helps.

You using a smart parts freak back? Possibly one of the internal O rings that hold the insert is not there so the insert isn't aligning well.

I've seen new pricey paint do it before sometimes you do get oblong out of round paint even if it is a new case some shops rotate there paint some shops don't rotate it, flat spots dimples all factors. Even if you match the bore snug, sometimes I've found if you go up one size just a little over bore it will compensate for the not so good new paint

are you running a marker with detents? I would try over boring next time that happens.

Can't overbore on a cocker, you'll get rollouts. You can overbore and use tape or nail polish remover as a homemade detent.

switch to a single bore barrel with the same paint and see what happens.

freak kits are not the end all. there are times where the freak system is lesser than the single bore barrels it replaces.
