Whenever someone tells me that they're thinking of getting an "ION" because they want to "go semi" or "start speedball" I slap them in the face and say "Get a Promaster, PMR, or Invert Mini" in that order, as that is the order of pricing from cheapest to most expensive. All 3 are quality guns, it just depends on style and pricerange.

Yes Ion is the picture perfect gun in my case right now, trying to get a gun that I can use every weekend no problems and play speedball if need be. An Ion is the perfect gun in the situation, but I wont get one. So i need something else, and im tired of used.

| Post Whore Join Date: Oct 2006 | Although I have not played with my own Promaster yet (didn't get the powered hopper until recently) I did a lot of checking and chose it over may other options as being of decent quality, ease of servicing in ALL aspects, size and weight. In all those categories it got good overall reviews as far as I could see. Yes it does have it's own special quirks but most paintball guns do. Learn what they are (minimal and mostly related to balancing the internal LPR and main inline pressures) and then deal with them and you'll be happy. I also looked at the Mini, PMR and Epiphany and the Mini was looking really good but as a definite mechanical sort of guy I finally decided that I didn't want to spend that much on a gun that I'd only use occasionally. So a used Promaster was the next best choice for me.

Indian Creek Designs ProMaster Paintball Gun - Blue at ActionVillage.com : Paintball Link might not work exactly correctly due to session id in url, but it should get you to site. |
