Co2 or HPA on a Nelson?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of back-bottling my 007, but I'm not a huge fan of Co2. Right now, I have a 13ci HPA tank that will fit it perfectly (length-wise). Which is more efficient? If you were to have two tanks, say a 13ci HPA and a 3 (or 4 ounce) Co2 tank.... Which would I get more shots off of?

Thanks!

As do I. I haven't actually used Co2 (besides 12-grams here and there) in a very long time. I just want to know how the efficiency will work out.

I don't remember the rule of thumb with co2 but you will get a bunch of shots from a 9oz. Like play all day amounts. A 13/3 gave me about 200 if I remember right, that was on my unibody. You know the one

CO2 always wins in shots per tank. You will get more shots out of 3.5 than a 13ci. Also, you will not see much of a performance difference since its a Nelson. In this case co2 is the hands down winner.

Problem with a 3.5-ounce is that, at least at my field, the kiddie refs working the air station can't fill it worth a damn. I don't even get a quarter fill from them. HOW is idiot-proof to fill.

Truth, my statement assumes full fills and does not consider convenience . In this day and age filling co2 is a lost art, and hpa fills are often faster & easier.

It def is an art to filing the smaller co2 tanks...more difficult than the larger tanks...make sure they purge/bleed them a couple times while filling to get the best possible fill...
