Best barrel over to use same barrel all time.

I mainly play woods ball with a group from work or hit a few of the local fields to mix it up a bit. If I wanted 1 barrel to suit all purposes an paints of the veering supply at the different fields. Which barrel would you all recommend?

If you insist on a single, 1-piece barrel, I'd say a .684 Eigen or a .685 CP.

But the better option is to get your current barrel Freak bored.

Both of the bolded. I've found the Eigen to be a straight shooting barrel that seems to be very quiet. I have the .678, and it works with almost all paint, until it's cold.

Also, I have had several barrels freak bored ( several 1 and 2 piece Eclipse, WGP Kaner, and Angel A1). The advantage is it's only $35 (and I already had freak inserts) and you get to retain the look if your gun has a barrel that matches. Also...on a few of my guns that started with a large ID barrel, I was able to lower the pressure some...which made the gun quieter and more efficient. The only one I measured was my A1...and I got to lower the HPR by about 10 psi.

Or the techt ifit. Works too.

But the whole one barrel thing, unless you rock some sizers...idk sometimes it just doesn't go as planned.

I don't like freak bored barrels. Freak inserts are inconsistently sized and I hate dealing with stuck, or loose inserts.

If you aren't using a closed bolt gun like a pump or a cocker, I just make a good compromise and use like a .687 or .685 and call it a day. I am really liking my stiffi these days but I swear by lapco 1 pieces and I have a lapco snapshot I got cheap and I appreciate that it is a lot more quiet than the 1 pieces though a little less efficient.

Really..use whatever you find shoots good and accurate.. and if you want it to be quiet than make sure it has a decent amt of porting.

Pick up the Super Freak. Decent variety of inserts. Nice and quiet. Has the Apex, if you're into that sort of thing. Readily available... Plus it's compatible with all the older SP Freak parts.

i have found crap paint + big bore w/ small sizer out performs long backed tight bore.

i pack a few .. .681 lapco tightstick, .682 kaner, .684 kaner tactical, .679 otp bigbore... and its scarey how often the OTP out performs the rest when the paint blows.

If i could only have one barrel for all paint forever?.. ide have to seriously consider something like a pps brass dual spiral ported w/ wedgits.
