AA Armageddon Questions

I have this AA tank reg, I need to know if it is a 3k or 4.5k. There is a rebuild kit that came with it that has a burst disc marked 3000 but I have also been told these were only made in 4.5k. So my question, is there anyway to tell the difference and which one is this one.

I'm not the authority on AA (that would probably be Shane-O), but my friends and I have owned a few of their products throughout the years.

From my understanding, only some of the Raptor systems were 3k. The Apocalypse and Armageddon were all 4.5k.
Also, judging by the fact it has a gauge that goes up to 5k, I'm convinced you have a 4.5k system.

mine is made for a 4.5K and its the same as yours. their are 2 burst disk on that reg. plus it look like the burst disk in the rebuild set is popped; it should be a solid copper disk. also CP regs use the same burst disk setup(from my understanding).

All Apocalypses and Armageddons were 4500 psi.

It's possible, however, that somebody swapped the reg onto a 3K tank and installed an appropriate burst disc. It's also equally possible the disc blew for some reason, and the owner/store/field didn't have a 4.5K disc, so installed the 3K just to get it working again. Stranger things have happened.

But yes, you can pull out whatever's in there and throw in a new-style "unified" disc for a 4,500 psi tank.

Doc.
