Mokal threading

Another "back of the shop" save.

This time a Mokal Titan. Had a leak down the "barrel" when I got it home to air it up, but a quick trip to the vice with the valve nut and cupseal sorted that out nicely.

However, I use "barrel" in quotes because I'm barrelless. I couldn't find the barrel for it in the back when I was rummaging around, so I'm curious as to how out of luck I am.

Do these use a proprietary threading, or is there some hope of finding a barrel for this ?

I had visions of using it as a suicide rush pistol, on a 12 gram and tubes, but at 15 shots per 12 gram, I think I'll run it on a 3.5oz tank and tubes instead .....

Man this thing is loud though.

Well technically it's cocker-threaded, but you have to trim about 3/8" off the un-threaded collar part to allow it to fit in far enough to engage the threads. I ran a Cocker barrel on the one I used to have.

BTW, Mokal still supports these if you need parts. Or at least they did 2 years ago when I rebuilt mine.

I found the mokal site, but they don't have any barrels in their parts list, that I saw. I can get a cocker barrel pretty easy though.

Now to start looking, I'm thinking something small, ~6inches or so

It's a sweet little marker, I love mine. It's basically a Tippmann knock off but with a lighter trigger pull.
It gets the "what the heck is that?" look at the field too.

I don't recall mentioning trades, especially not for smart Farts. Thanks though.

Titan barrel

cocker barrels work fine as long as they do not jam the bolt. if you screw the barrel all the way in there will be a gap on the outside but it wont effect the gun, just dry fire the gun(no air) and then pull back the bolt. if it feels stiff pulling the bolt out of the barrel then thats no good.
I use an Armson pro-series and it shoots great(and loud). it has a factory bevel inside. I put a Dye on one for a customer but had to bevel the inside so the bolt wouldnt drag.

my girlfriend has an All-american that was made for the Titan, so there maybe some barrels out there. I still have a PMI perfect barrel in the store with Titan threads but it never impressed me

And lapco makes a Titan to Spyder adapter too.

Shouldn't be any real trouble to trim some of the back of the barrel off though, I wouldn't think .. so long as it was done cleanly or any burrs cleaned up, I wouldn't think.
