I think a backwards hopper and just how you hold your marker will go a long way. Think of all the awkward ways you've seen rental players carry markers. Over the shoulders, by the reg barrel up, maybe in a sling?

AR15.com has a "throw it down the driveway" meme for giving your gun that battle-worn, "speshul forces" look. It's only a joke, but chucking your gun onto an asphalt or gravel surface will definately give it a junked-up look. What kind of gun are we talking about?

Stock Class markers - old Kingmann New Hammer, PGP, P68SC or ZGP-94.

PVC elbow and copper pipe 45 degree feed tubes make old guns look even older without resorting to structural damage.

spray-bombed PVC will work wonders... need to cover up that brass with something you can really make ****ty in appearance. most of all though, your actual appearance as a player will do the real trick... use a mask that looks like a renters mask but with a decent lens, wear ****ty clothes or coveralls, try to look worse than the worst looking guy on the field and you will succeed

Fellow ARFCOM'ers on MCB! Possibly the deadliest combination...in the world!

Back on topic, tie string from the barrel to the feedneck to make it look like it's the only thing holding it together.

you can always force a patina on the brass. Here's some pro tip on it.

Instant patina for brass

Make it look like you rescued it from a shipwreck

OR

you could also go the complete opposite direction and do some cracked out bosozoku brass. Bright neon frilly colors, shooting star ball count slots, pink glitter acrylic pump handle. Use a charm bracelet for a feed plug leash, some ridiculous funnel slapped on the end for a gonzo loudener
