painting V-max

ok nice and simple, what is a good spray paint that will last on a vmax loader.

Try plasti-dipping it. There is a guy out where I play that did it to his Z2 and it looks well done. I also saw a guy try to spray paint his Rotor and it ended up looking horrible.

wouldn't that prevent the two halves from being able to separate?

Do a search on painting a plastic car bumper. Should give you all the info you need.

If you separate the halves and then do it, you will not have a problem.

The biggest factors are CLEANLINESS and CURE TIME with spray paint. Krylon Camo brand will hold up really freaking well if you make sure to clean whatever you're painting with a degreaser-type soap (like Fast Orange or even a grease-oriented dish soap). Then allow it to cure for a full week before touching it. I mean, let's be real, spray paint is not meant to be a permanent solution, especially for a surface that takes as much abuse as a loader shell, but it can still last for a good long time if you do it right.

I'd be interested to see what the plastidip looks like. I've seen people do whole cars in it and it actually looks ok. Not to mention it's pretty cool to just be able to peel it off and start over if you decide to change the color.

part of me was thinking spray truck bed liner for the shell

Fluff 05-23-2013 12:32 PM

Krylon fusion. Bed liner stuff makes it heavier. Didnt you see the revvy I have like that?
