Huh? They told me no ramping or full auto, but R/T's were fine. And that was this weekend.

As most of the Commando's play with older guns you will be just fine with your VM.The extra tanks are the way to go.I keep 2-3 in the dead zone.
Guns I have played castle with Vector,Stroker,ProAm,Nova700,Nasty Typhoon,Automag,Illusion.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

OK I'll toy with the VM's is it ok to leave an extra marker in the dead zone? I'll pick up a few 20 oz tanks and a cheap mech feeder.
I am also looking forward to seeing a few more gun whores.

Tug

The wife is already making me feel guilty but I'm cheap and I already paid so I'm going.

Yes an extra gun in the deadzone is fine, so long as it's chronoed and has a barrel condom on it.

Depending on what guns I have at the time, my vm may be brought out also... either I'll use it or I'll let my dad use it.

Incorrect. At last year's castle I got to shoot a guy's RT in the dead zone between re-insertions. The Ref's didnt care, and that sucker could runaway fire like no other.

Don't skimp on a cheap hopper! You'll regret it when you're in the thick of a firefight and outrun it and chop paint. I'd say a 12v revvie or Ricochet AK would work well.

Normally I'd agree but it's going on a VM I doubt I'll be able to out shoot it.

Tug
It would be cool if I could though.

For that price range I'd go for a Tippman A5.
Runs on HPA or CO2
Reliable as hell! Plenty fast w/ the stock trigger, scarry fast w/ the Response Trigger....although that turns it into a gas hog real quick!
---
VM68 will serve you fine at castle though. Definately fast enough.
Although you've GOT to have at least one backup at EMR...I LOVE that place, but it's the bermuda triangle of paintball guns!
---
...At Grail this spring, I chronoed two guns in the back yard, packed them up and left for EMR 1 hour later. Got to EMR and they were both leaking!

If you need a hopper, I recently procured a backup 18-volt revvy (I normally us a Ricochet on my Blazer) that you're welcome to borrow. Actually, I was thinking, in the MCB spirit, of using my dusty old ProLite for this defense. Probably bring a mini-cocker as backup (the Blazer's got to go home for some PPS lovin'). On the old boards, when the topic first came up, I recommended that all official MCB Members be required to use a marker no newer than 1995 vintage, but it wasn't too well-recieved.

First lets say, "You are playing with the folks from MCB bring the VM."

After that is said, if you still want something new and different, my vote is for an automag. They can be had cheap on fleabay and are very reliable will work with properly managed co2. Just like anything else. You have $$ left for a lvl10 bolt if it doesn't come with one an extra co2 and teh anti siphon tubes and exc to manage it.
