| Newbie Join Date: Sep 2006 | How do I chrono a KP2? I just picked up a kp2 that has been modded. I tested it yesterday and it works fine and has no leaks but I don't know how to chrono it. it only shoots at around 200 fps. Also does anyone know where I can get a schematic, a manual, or any other knowledge resource? ![]() |

| Every Dog has its Day | Does your KP have a velocity adjuster? It would normally be a screw in the back of the trigger group(the thing below the bolt). If not, springing ans shims are you best bet. |

If it's a stock KP3 with NO velocity adjustment screw on the back of the trigger group... Take the Trigger Group off by removing the pins holding it to the back of the lower tube. Then take the spring out that precedes the Group inside the lower tube, and stretch that sucker good. -baller

But it looks like a really nasty solder job around the feed so it may have been converted. The missing paint where solder would have been holding the side-tube on is another indication. I don't think that's an original tank hanger, I thought Sheridan only used the ring style (but I could be wrong, again) Plus it looks like it doesn't quite fit the stock. But the thermo valve tank itself is classic. Velocity is a matter of swapping out springs for that one, unless it has the RVA, which doesn't show in the pic. The other option is putting an adjustable reg between the tank and input, I ran mine with a Palmers Stabilizer before I swapped it to a remote adjustable HPA tank. But a reg will only bring it down, not up. For that to work you still have to get the initial velocity high enough to need a reg to bring it down. If you can pull the valve, a good cleaning might help.

Did KP2s have feednecks or just feed tubes? I was thinking about having it restored. Also does anyone know of a place that I can get a new spring? | |
