window on TPX?

So I lost the small window on the top of my TPX. Is this piece critical to the operation of the marker?

The window at the top of the grip, where you peek to see if there are balls in the magazine?

No. It's not a critical part. It does keep dirt out of the marker though. Tippmann throws a replacement in the cheap parts kit if you want to replace it.

If you use your TPX in any regularity, get the little piece. It's not important for the actual workings of the pistol, but it is a direct hole into your breach where any dirt and grit would wreak havoc...

PS...

I HATE that little piece!!!!

I can't tell you how many times I've gotten my TPX back together, only to see that little piece laying on the table... Complete tear down again!

I read this and felt better about myself knowing I wasn't the only person that does this.
