I was going to suggest a regular painting reg but then I saw you want to run it from the 850 psi output. You could still use one but you'd need to prereg it with a paintball reg first.
I had a "Paintball God" moment once.

for the slim chance of repeating that one time

Palmer pretty much leads the way in regulated air. It will be a sad day when he retires. Not much talent like that left in the paintball biz. Well at least I will have a more consistant pressure fil. Now I need to figure out exactly how much time it takes to fill 8oz. Maybe with a constant pressure my measurement will work. At 50psi I fill to the 5" mark and that gives be 8oz exactly. This is sure going to beat the turning on turning off the bottle every fill. Only time I'll have to "de-air" is when I have to fill the paint canister. Cuts down on a lot of air loss.
