comparing pump kits

I'm looking to pump my 99 STO, and I've already learned that I'm looking for a pre-99 kit.

Upon searching google, I've found two kits that will work. Both use similar components and material, yet the CCM branded one is $20 more. Is it worth the extra $20?

CCM Light Weight Pump Kit for Pre 99/2k+ - e-Paintball

Autococker Pump Kit - Pre 2k

There's also one that costs $77, but I suspect that is because the pump handle is made from aluminium instead of delrin.

I would gladly pay the $20 difference to get the ccm kit. The ans kits are ok. Its a pump kit, but nothing special.

is it a difference in quality? the ccm has tighter tolerances and such? I won't be using this as a primary marker, i've just not used this autococker much, and I've always wanted a pump.

Well the 49.50 pump kit has a guide for the pump rod to help keep it from twisting but it will generate more friction.

The $77 kit has the extra guide rod which IMHO is the best method for preventing the handle from twising. The pump handle will be delrin but the plate on the back of it is aluminum

The ANS kit is just the most basic of pump kits. I ran one like it for a couple of years and really never had any complaints. The barrel will keep it from twising too much and all I had to do to cock it was smack the front of the pump anyway and the spring did the rest so I never really noticed any twisting.

If you're not willing to get the $77 CCM kit then I would go with the ANS kit.

Over the years, I've had CCM, WGP , Sanchez and Hooptie pump kits both 99 and 2K.

I liked the basic kits just as well as the CCMs and currently have two of JCurt's kit that I got here on MCB's Dealer section.

I'm trying to find the thread in which a member critiques/comments on the quality of CCM's economy pump kit.
Also, TF did a pump kit review:

I would recommend going the cheap route and deciding if you like pump play before making a larger investment.

Check Ebay as well for decent pricing with free shipping.

All the cheap kits are about the same.

I'd reccomend JCurt but he's having problems delivering product.
It took me a while and many reminder emails to get it but the item is quite nice.

I went with ANS because 2 day shipping i3 $6, and I need it by Friday.

Normally I don't just jump into purchases, but me and a friend though it would be fun to play some pump next weekend.

the ANS kit will serve you well and if you decide you like pump play the bump up to a CCM Pre 2K kit would be well worth it. I've got a fully CCM'd reflex and the pump stroke is buttery smooth and it's just amazing. Hope pump play treats you well.
