Angel regulator help

I picked up a Freeflow cocker the other day and it has one of those old little Angel regs. Normally I'd just take it off and throw on some other reg that in the gear bag but I don't have one.

I gassed up the marker and it was shooting low. I can't remember which way to turn the screw to increase the velocity so I went a half turn counter-clockwise and the velocity decreased after a few shots. Turn it back to the original spot and the velocity doesn't change. Make a half turn clockwise and the same results. Hmmm....

I've been searching for a manual or maintenance notes for the reg and the only thing I've found relatively close is a manual for the Angel V6. Any ideas?

Thanks

You were probably sweet spotted like a cocker should be, you need to adjust the ivg a cocker will lose velocity if the pressure is getting to high that it pushes the valve shut quicker, or if its to low obviously.

there is also a mod for those regs to give you a larger adjustable range. they were a little strange about only having a certain operable range.similar to a bell curve. guys over on pbn can help you out. guide on how to do the mod aswell as how to disassemble it
