Is there something fishy about this ebay listing?

Hammerhead Rifled Battlestix Barrels | eBay

They are selling some 14" Hammerhead Battle Stikxx barrels for about 25% of retail, claiming that they are old displays or some rigmarole. However, they clearly state that these are one piece barrels without removable tips. As far as I know, Hammerhead does not make such a barrel. I called Hammerhead but their offices are closed. Does anyone know if these are legit? It's a great price, if they are actually what the seller claims, but it seems fishy to me.

They say 'Recon' on them, so I'm wondering if it's an offshoot of the regular Battlestixx. I'm willing to bet that it's either an older/early version that was a little more simple. They probably did the threaded fronts after people started asking for options there.

You are only getting one of them, and still need a fin, but with the amount and level of feedback the seller has, I don't think there's much risk.

He is just selling the barrel tips, the eBay seller is selling the entire barrel (with non removable tips).

Right, but compare their locations, and the ebay name to the MCB avatar.

What are you putting this on? Here is a listing from the same seller with a fin and a removeable tip.

I have one of his (woouulf's) other HH offerings on my Hammer 7, and it fits my Mofo barrel perfectly. I believe it is old stock, but still up to spec. I wanted to get one of his sets for my Vibe, but the Vibe has not yet convinced me that it is worth even that small investment.

It's a great deal if you want to try a HH barrel. The 14" length is a very good all around length for the HH also.

UH humm, Yes these are Hammerhead barrels and NEW OLD STOCK..These were some of the first hammerhead barrels made FOR HH some years back..Hammerhead never made a Barrel for themselves and contracted the work out to one of the best barrel companys around. When Hammerhead switched to a less quality and less cost manufacturing company all the old stock was stored and ended up at auction..
I am all out of the barrel shafts that have removable tips..

Awesome, good the know and thank you for clearing that up.

MCB is such a great resource... You all ROCK.
