He was filling it after it being hydro tested. It was an ACI bulldog tank that had the odd over sized threads and the reg blew off..Needless to say that none of the shops will fill those tanks around here...Heck, i even have one of the same tanks that i removed the reg and tossed it..Some day i figure ill make something like a plant pot out of the tank. Its just not worth the risk of using it for anything else..

If there is a broken piece of steel in the threads the likely hood that the rest if the threads are still meeting tolerance are not good. Ross the tank for your own safety. It sucks but a trip to the hospital or death are more expensive then another tank.

Blame red loctight and 4500psi..I deliver pick up tanks for a PB shop and 1 out of 20 have thread issues and some PE tanks we wont even take for testing as the regs wont come off.
