Can a JT Protium barrel be bored for Freak inserts?

Why, oh WHY, do the run of the mill gun manufacturers make their guns with huge IDs, instead of trying to somewhat match them to the industry average paintball size, especially when they KNOW that the paintball sizes are dropping. Back in the day you could find good paint that was 0.691 diameter, but now you typically find 0.684 or so (WAGs on my part). The JT Protium I just got is HUGE bore, Marbs easily roll completely through the barrel, so I'm guessing 0.694-ish ID. All they're doing is making sure that the replacement barrel industry thrives instead of having folks stick with their stock barrel without modding it.

Anywho, does anyone think this is possible? I'll try to find a way to accurately measure the thickness of the barrel wall without a set of calipers.

Also, what about a 32* Whisper barrel being bored otu for Freak inserts?
