Spyder barrel thread question

I bought a brand new UL back that was supposed to be Spyder threaded but when I received it it wouldn't thread into my Millennium or my Spyder to Raptor adapter. My old Spyder All American and new Spyder Freaks all thread fine The new UL back looks like Shocker threads to me.

The seller said something about not working in "older Spyder markers". I was under the impression that Spyder threads haven't changed in their history.

Can anyone help clear this up?

Edit: Added picture to post #5. I should also note that the seller in this case was a store. I'm thinking something was mispackaged from the factory or someone did some swapping in the shop.

Probably not a spyder barrel then. Sell could have been misinformed when he got it.

It would be handy to have a picture of the barrel threads in question next to a confirmed spyder barrel.

I'll get a picture up in a minute. Seller is talking so I'm not worried, just wanted to make sure I wasn't causing a headache for anyone.

Seller is full of horse stank on this one. A spyder threaded barrel will fit into a spyder threaded marker regardless of it's manufactured age. This also includes a bob long millennium; it's spyder threaded.

I've used brand new dye 2 piece UL barrels and old late 90's 1 piece DYE boomstick on all of my spyders and even a bob long millennium. The guy sold you a non spyder threaded barrel, or the threads on the barrel are damaged (check for razor sharp ridges or bent threads).

Seller and I have worked an agreement that I'm happy with; they said these are NOS that were purchased 12 years ago so now we're both really unsure:lol:

Sooo... does anyone have any guesses? I still think it looks like Shocker threads. Which means I might have to buy a Shocker since I'm keeping it

Update on this one. I finally got around to digging out my Compact 2000 and the back threads in just fine. Apparently there is that much deviation in tread tolerances between a Kingman made Spyder, a Millennium body (2 actually), and a Lapco adapter.
