I owned the newer version of the Shocktech frame for a while (the one without the dumb-looking steel tube trigger guard).
Can't recommend it. It worked well enough and was solidly built, but the back of the frame was scalloped for some reason and it was very uncomfortable to hold.

Yes, changing the 3 way can give your trigger a different feel depending on which one you get. I have a Belsales Hollowpoint and it gives a very snappy feel. I have had 3 different hinge frames with it, stock 03 WGP, Eclipse Blade and Jackal Machine frame. All have been very snappy, where as the original frame with the stock brass 3 way, was smooth.
