@ Ganon
Great Pic!
Stilgars is nice too, but my attraction to this concept is to create a pistol.

Not Springfed but this is the most effective way I found to make a mag pistol...(ignore the ASA on the frame) Short barrel from the Retro 7 is freaked, stick feeds make FAST reloads and unless you hold it upside down...never jams!

I normally run this with a longer barrel and a stock. Everything else the same.

It allows for almost pistol like play with the stability of a rifle

@stilgar
That is perfect! I would probably just want a remote line instead of vertical air. I really like your barrel. What type of mag is that? micromag? If so, what generation?

I am currently still saving money. I have almost bit on a few deals, but I am still torn. On one hand, I might buy a beat up automag straight feed body from Bacci and grind off the feed. Then I could use the empire body picatiny system. If I screw up the Bacci body, I am not out much money.
On the other hand, it may not be much more expensive to just buy a nice micromag. I would leave it stock and figure out how to attach a stick feed with remote line.

Pretty much. The barrel is the stock (freaked) barrel from my R7, it is the shortest barrel I have. Normally I use a 10-12" barrel.

Jellyghost: I would recommend spending the small bit extra to get the ule or Tac body for two reasons. Cocker threaded and ease of feedneck use.

So I should just look for the ULE or Tac body and buy the rest of the parts seperate? I was seeing a ULE body go for about $100ish?

You could always grab a cheap mag and a ule/Tac body seperate an then swap them.

Depending on how nice you want the body yeah you are looking about $100
