PMI Trracer Detents

So, I picked up a PMI Trracer from the pawn shop for 10.00. Couldn't pass it up for the price. But the barrel is obviously way overbored, as paint just rolls out the end.

The big question: Is there a mod for adding a detent or something to retain paint?

Nail polish or tape on the inside of the barrel to hold the paintball in place. I personally use 3 small dots of nail polish on mine and it works great.

For the tape mod (which is what I use): Cut a 1" length of electrical tape, and divide the width in half (so you get 2 narrow 1" strips). Place the tape so that 3/4" is down in the breech end of the barrel, and fold the remaining 1/4" back outside toward the thread. Test if the one strip is enough to stop your balls from rolling out - if not, apply the 2nd strip across from the 1st.

For the nail polish I don't know offhand - but if you do the tape thing and pump a ball into the barrel, unscrew it, then see how deep the ball is in the barrel, and that's right where you want your dots.

Cool. I'll give it shot tonight.

Also, I've never actually tested how far the bolt pushes the ball into the chamber and curiosity has gotten the better of me. Not very far, apparently! Maybe that 1" of tape has been overkill this whole time...

ZAP!

Did the tape mod last night. Used hockey grip tape instead of electrical tape. Works great.

Thanks for all the advice.
