Old JT mask... worth salvaging?

This old JT mask came with some stuff I got off Craigslist. The ear foam disintegrated but still looks ok around the eyes. Is it worth salvaging this mask as a loaner? Would standard JT lenses fit still?

Personally, I prefer the spectra lenses, but a good jt mask is a good jt mask. I've replaced the ear foams on both of mine by picking up a roll of self-adhesive automotive weatherstrip at the local parts house. It's super-comfy, sticks itself, cheap, and you can cut it to length.

Thanks for the tip about the foam. I'll have to try it out.

I think I have that same style, but it needs a new lens.

JT Elite lenses are probably the cheapes lenses on the market, you can get some for $10. JT Spectra lenses will not fit that mask, make sure you get Elite.

I work on a rental fleet, and we found that most adhesives wear out after a while and you have to re glue them. We tried contact cement and it works extremely well. You'd tear the foam long before it would fail. Kinda tricky to work with, though. Have to keep off the lens of you're effed. If you're replacing the lens though, just use the cement before replacing and if you ruin the lens, who cares, you're changing it anyway.

So I noticed one of the tabs on the lens frame is broken. Would super gluing or gorilla gluing it be strong enough to hold the lens in place (not gluing it to the lens of course)? Do they sell replacement lens frames? I don't want to sink too much money into rehabbing this mask since it would just be a loaner if someone needed one.

Old JT XFire headgear, as stated above could probably use new Elite style snap in type lenses.

If you are replacing with a current gen Elite lens, I don't believe the broken frame tab would be an issue. Foam and lenses are consumable products on goggles. Just look at them like you would your wiper blades or any filters you have on your car.

I know my home field still has some of the old JT Snapper goggles, which has the same style frame. I don't recall seeing any spare frames laying around.
