Making a Sheridan feed leash

Hey MCB experts,
Can anyone recount to me their own experiences of creating homemade feed leashes for their Sheridans? I am planning on making one for my PGP and want to keep the stock feed plug as well. I'm planning on having mine be white and look aesthetically pleasing (hopefully), and was wondering if any of you have had experience in doing a modification like this? Any and all suggestions/ideas will be much appreciated. Thanks fellas.

Do you want a cord or cable? Or one of those rubber coil leashes?

I used the rubbery coil leash for a key chain or something. I drilled a hole straight through the feed cap, big enough to get the leash through. After a got it through, I melted it with a soldering iron. I can't remember whether I tied it in a knot before melting it. Basically just so it can't pull out. Then, i made a small loop on the other end and melted it with the soldering iron. I used a small key ring and put it on the looped end. Then the ring got put on the pump rod.

I would post a pic, but the pic of my pmi-1 in the sheridan picture thread does not have it on the gun. On vacation right now, so I can't take a pic. I will try to get one up this weekend if you would like.

Honestly, I would probably rather not have to solder anything. Mine still has the black factory powdercoat on it and I would rather keep it nice and minty. Plus, I'm not too handy of a solder-er. Although I love the look of the tub plug on your kp Josilk.

I would prefer it be a cord rather than one of those Palmer type coils that they make. I'm definitely planning on using a small key ring on the pump rod too.

Then I would say take a trip to your local hardware store. See if they have any fine gauge steel braided cable and clamps. Either in precut lengths or cut to length. You could also try picture hanging wire.

Rubber stopper, screw eye, bit of shoe lace.

I'll definitely be taking a trip to the hardware store to see what I can find. I feel like there's a lot of places I can go with this.

I like the simplicity of the design. Is that 7/8" rubber stopper? Cut to fit it seems as well

I used a piece of elastic cord from an old broken sock, wrapped it around the trigger guard of my kpmi, stuck it through the hole on the feed plug and tied a knot.

It might actually be 1". I can't remember what it started out as before I took the knife to it.
It's held together great for a couple years now.

I like that too.
I'm starting to wonder if using a piece of rawhide lace to do the same thing would look good...

I'll look into the rubber stopper as well and see what I like better
