HPA tank issue?

I just heard a loud venting sound from the next room. Went in my 6.5 was still aired up. I filled my tank to 3k before leaving the field. The tank is now at roughly 1k and holding... does this make any sense? Would a burst disc go but still allow for SOME air to remain? marker still shoots.

I have never heard of a regulator doing that...... I would bleed the tank and check both the burst disks, the o-rings & reg seat on the piston.
What brand of tank reg do you have?

i dunno, i'd service the regulator and replace the low pressure burst disc for sure. use silicone lubricant (anything non-flammable, really) on the piston o-ring.

Ill go check the tank. It was screwed onto the ccm 6.5 at the time... I am wondering if the marker vented?

I'd suspect the marker first.

I'm no expert Mar, but it sounds like the marker vented.

I have had a cheap 3k burst disk pop on a rental tank and it was re-sealed by debris in the tank itself. I doubt this is common, but it can happen. Either way, I would check all the seals in your tank reg.

Very likely it was just the marker venting the remaining air in the reg. After I degas and ensure no balls are in the breach, I turn the eyes off and fire a shot or two to clear any residual air. A teammate did blow his low pressure burst disk multiple times but you can usually tell when that happens.

Submerge the tank under water to make sure it is the tank. Tells us where the bubbles are coming from.
