Would like a couple of KPs appraised.

I was wondering what a couple of modified KPs would be worth. They both work and have been repainted. The one with full stock is I think a KP2 and it is missing the safety, front sight, and the bolt is pitted. The one with the cut stock I think is a KP3 with a cooper t bolt. I will appreciate any input and thank you for your time.

I have more pics here

I'd say the bottom one is a KP2-DF since the bottom tube is the same length as the top. Also, someone has sidetapped the valve for it to run C/A.

Thank you. I just thought it was modified afterwards.

Does the top one still have the side feed? KPs still seem pretty popular and seem to go for about 350-400. I'm not sure about the second one with the mods maybe a little less but not much.

No the side feed has been removed. I'm not sure if the hole was enlarged so balls would feed from a PVC elbow that the guy had on it. Thank You

Neither of those guns are pristine and they fairly scream for some restorative love.

$400 seems to be the normal rate for a completely intact and factory correct Sheridan K-series gun. A pristine example could draw $500 or more.

These two would fall more into the "hacked" category. The market loves these now, so you might not take that big a hit because of the hacked nature, but I would guess that these would sell closer to $300.

On the other hand, these are both great candidates for PPS conversions. If you can find someone who wants a Hurricane/Painter, but cannot stand the idea of chopping up a perfectly good Sheridan, then you might actually be able to get a premium from such a purist.

Good luck,

D.

PS: The Piratized gun is also a heavily modified KP2 rather than a factory KP2df. The direct feed is clearly a homemade add-on.

$300 is a fair price for each, but i think what you got on top is a k2 since I see no BB holes.

I think you dont see the BB holes because the lighting. I would also say that 300$ is a resonable price.

Whether it started out life as a bolt-action or not, that shouldn't add to it's value.

Also, I have seen early KP's with only one BB hole (although it was always on the side that is viewable in the pic, so...)

Good luck,
D.
