Quick stainless tubing question.

Let's say I'm rebarreling a KP, for ease of argument. Making another, but whatever.

I wouldn't trust thin-walled brass to it (which is a shame, because I can actually find thin-walled brass tubing with the proper ID), but would a stainless tube .75ODx.68ID (.035 wall) be suitable yet, possibly with a filligreed brass 'cage' around it, or would I need to head up to .875x.695?
