I'm sure it's been explained somewhere, but I couldn't find it in the posts I waded through using the search function. So, what makes them so special/impressive that they've become so important to a lot of you guys? |

| Endearingly quirky | They feel solid, like a real firearm. They make other guns feel like toys. Plus they're... kinda loud. You'd have to meet one to understand.

The trigger mechanism itself is amazing. It's like a Rube Goldberg machine. Lots of little levers and springs that somehow manage to pluck the x-way just right for the perfect amount of 'dwell' to fire and re-set. A lot of thought went into it. I've messed with the little springs in mine to slightly soften the trigger pull.

What purpose does all that complex linkage serve? My only guess was that AirPower realized that direct 3way access would allow the user to fire the gun much too quickly. Far beyond the required cycle time, leading the gun to short strokes. So, that complex linkage SLOWS the gun down into fixed, specific dwell times. But in modern paintball, with ultrafast hoppers, and high-flow regulators, why not remove the linkage, and directly link the trigger to the 3way? (like all the mech Rainmaker conversions?) nick
