Ninja Regulator rebuild?

So I have an old Ninja reg - 2009 - that has some toast O-rings. Half-ruined a day at the field yesterday, forcing me to play SC when I'm really not good enough to.

Anyways, anyone know what size the O-rings are? The lower piston O-ring is toast but looks like it was once a urethane -007, and the top one is pretty rough, too. And, do they require lube? Silicone based, or what? I know petroleum is a bad idea...

Thanks!

You may want to buy a new piston for it. It has a seal on the end of it that is sorta made into it, iirc.

Lube with dow33.

You can buy a rebuild kit online for less than $15 from eBay, Amazon... wherever. It includes all the o-rings, the piston, shims... Even a spare burst disc. Not a bad deal, and you know you're getting the right sized stuff.

Here ya go. Yes, it's from "that other site" but it should have the info you are looking for: Piston o ring sizes and type

Thanks - I got the same answer direct from Ninja, 90 Shore A urethane, 008 and 012. Crazy thing is, I got a rebuild piston cheaper than I could get the o-rings! Of course if I needed 100 it would be different...

The reg is probably 9 years old. Not a bad cost of ownership.
