GA Myth Reg

I just ordered a Guerrilla Air Myth Reg for my 13/3000. Now on the website, you could not choose between 3000 and 4500 so I emailed the site asking if this reg would be fine with my tank. They said that the tank would work fine as long as I didn't overfill it. I received the reg today and it's stamped 4500. Is it ok to use on my 3000?

Thanks

Charlie

Change the gauge to a 3000psi one and tell the guys doing the fill about it.

Maybe cover the 4500 stamp too?

It'll work just fine on your 3k tank. Just NEVER fill it past 3k.

No! There is a safety factor built into the bottles so the disk will blow before the bottle does. On a 3K bottle it's 5k psi on a 4.5k it's 7.2k on the burst disk. Otherwise even the slightest overfill would have people blowing burst disks all day. Since we're at it the burst disk on Co2 is 1.8k.

Changing out the 7.2k with a 5k is a very good idea but the filler should be checking the bottle and the reg before each fill. I require a color coded piece of tape at my field that is signed and dated by one of the refs saying the bottle has been inspected for psi and hydro date.
