What sizes do HPA tanks that come in Alum.

I'm looking for a extra tank for a Project that we are doing...

I'm looking for a good sized alum. tank for HPA that can be anno'd.

I know of 13ci/3000...maybe 22ci/3000...anymore?

Anyone can point me in the way of what sizes and make would be helpful.

That's about it. After that they go up to 47ci steel tanks and then all the fibre wrapped ones. At least, that's all I know of.

I do have a raw 51 or 52 aluminum tank that used to have a raptor reg on it but now has a nitro duck reg on it

Why a misprint? Pure Energy makes 48 rather than 47 ci. tanks, if that is what you were wondering about.

Didn't they use to make 68ci/3,000psi aluminum tanks before fiber wrapped ones, or were they steel?

I remember seeing a non-fiber 68ci/3,000psi Crossfire somewhere.

I have two 68ci/3k Al tanks. They are the infamous 3HT tanks that were designed for use in the airline industry. There is a mass of confusion over whether they can be used in paintball applications and whether they can be rehydro'd. The last I checked the DOT regs, they cannot be rehydro'd IF there is any indication of use in a paintball application. This would include having a paintball regulator on the tank, paintball stickers, etc. Ideally in the airline industry, a log of refills is supposed to be maintained and once the tank has been filled 5,000 times, the tank is to be destroyed.

All that said, the last time I asked my local shop whether I could have one of those tanks refilled, I was told the shop was told by the local rehydro place there was no need for a rehydro (effectively ever) because of the 5,000 fill limit. The PB shop guy was glad to fill it because the one I brought is in nearly perfect condition.

So, yes there are some 68/3k Al tanks but you may or may not be able to use them, depending on your local situation.

Ive never had a strait answer as of size or type of tank this is... other than Air America was selling them with raptor regs.
