HPA on pump guns

I'd like to try running HPA on some of my various pumps- RTP Viper, LAPCO Grey Spirit, Phantom; would these markes be affected by running ~850psi straight out of the tank, or would i be better off getting some hi-pressure regs? What pressure would these guns perform best at? I just don't want to do any damage to the internals. Thanks.

Ummm, CO2 comes out at about 800-900psi.
You are fine running it straight through

Many people run hpa on their pumps. HPA tanks have built-in regs to keep the output at co2-ish levels.

Once I got my 13ci tank I was hooked. Shot to shot consistency and all-weather play is a great thing. Plus, people always seem to have a hard time filling my 3.5 oz CO2 tank right.

I normally shoot a 40 round hopper and carry 5 10-round tubes on my arm. With my not-so-well-tuned sniper I get about 200 shots to take my 3k tank down to 1.5-1.2k.

I have a 68/4500 and a 48/4500 stubby. The stubby I just got and it already is my favorite tank. SO light. I still need to see how the CP reg does in giving good solid shot/shot. Still, balance on my CCM is great. Balance and weight on the blazer is phenominal.

I can't wait to see how it'll feel on the Pyre.

And I run low-cap or normal agitating hoppers on my pumps.

I was going to ask a similar question, but since its relevent its not much of a thread hijacking...

I was thinking of going HPA on a pump... what is the smallest size hpa tank and roughly how many shots will it get me?

13 cubic inch 3000psi.

shots - I figure 10psi / shot with my sniper - and my reg is stable down to 750 or so on the input side - so about 225 usable shots.

You can milk a few more shots - but my consistency goes all wonky after that. As I said in my post above I have a 40 rnd hopper and carry 5 tubes - so I'm good for 2-3 games on a fill.
