And you're getting a 22? Oh dear.....

I went with a 22 to avoid the "watermellon in my armpit" feel of the 68's I've got. To get the same reach as the 12 oz CO2 I needed to make up some midi drop forwards so the butt of the tank was in the same spot as the 12 or 68 provides. The 22 is LOOOOOONG.

Here's a pic with my 22 mounted on my recently gotten STO. The back end of the bottle in this case is as far behind the bottom rear of the trigger frame as it would be if I used a 68 with a direct mount ASA.

So setting up so you can use either will be a bit of a pain. It will mean either living with a long reach or swapping out the ASA mounts.

A 68/45 with a Myth is almost the exact same size as a 12 oz. About 1/2" longer.

I got a 22, sold it, and got a 45/45. HPA tanks do scare teh bejeezus out of me, mine's gonna sleep on the other side of my desk, where it would have to explode through 2 2" thick wood panels to get to me.

And whenever I run around with it I kinda get freaked.

Thanks for all the help. I ended up with PMI, though Crossfire seems to be better rated, I like being able to replace seals myself. I might eventually swap regs completely if it ever does give me any issues.

I actually like the size of the 45ci, it seems to work pretty well on my setup.

I had an issue with a PMI tank blowing the 1.8k burst disk. I called and they had a full rebuild kit as well as replacement burst disks on my doorstep within 3 days. free.

that's about as good as I could expect for customer service. As to the fact that the reg needed work... that's a different issue - but it's functioned perfectly for years otherwise.

Good to know. I also went with them because my proshop had them. It was $30 more than online, but I wanted to play this weekend and don't mind occasionally paying out the nose to support our sport.

I've never had a preset bottle perform better than the crossfire I currently own. It's preset at 800psi but it will perform flawlessly all the way down to the gun's input pressure. For example if the gun's reg is set at 400psi the Crossfire will maintain consistency and recharge all the way down to 400psi left in the tank. Some other preset regs will lose consistency or recharge rates as soon as they drop below the preset pressure of around 800 to 850psi.
