Sniper Price Check

I'm currently engaged in a trade and to help me iron out the final details, I was wondering if any of you could give me a rough estimate on what this is worth.

His description:

As far as I know It's a 1of1 AKA VLM Swirl Body (only because I've never seen another).

CCM pump and trigger frame (with A.T. - not pictured), AKA 2liter reg, all AKA internals.
So... any clue?

I can second the original quote, minus the 1 of 1 part. Nice find!

Figgure the pump kit with gripframe and autotrigger at about ~$185
the AKA reg in the ~$70 range
then decide what the internals and body (consider possible rariety against the heavally depressed cocker market) are worth to you. As an VLM and not a merlin, I would rank it just above a late 90's STO and just below a Evolution. I probably wouldnt pay more than $100 for the body/internals but considering that its a complete and working set it hits very close to the $100 mark.

My estimate is $355 plus shipping costs. It may go for more to an AKA nut, espcially if it has a full range of aka internals.

They were talking about this on CustomCockers, absolutly not 1 of 1, but a pretty one none the less.

The fact it is missing the origional matching pieces takes away from the value in the eyes of some collectors. I think spymongoose is pretty close, since the pump kit with the new grip frame and auto trigger are pretty sought after. I'd play the unmatched parts card and see if you can get a better deal, though.

I will chime in on this one. I used to own the body. I bought it from AKA. As far as 1 of 1. I bought the blank VLM and had them mill the spiral pattern and sight rail. With all of the different milling patterns and sight rail options, you may not find another that is identical. The anodize was done by Indy Sports Paintball. I bought it in 99 or 00. I paid $125 for the body and $125 for the ano. I had another stock class body in the same ano done at the same time. Hope that helps.

I know I saw an Orange one with the spirals in clear in Indy as well.

the thing is that the spiral milling an sight rail milling are both factory options and are therefore not custom. because there isn't proof that others doesn't mean that they don't. 1 of 1 should indicate markers like Glenn Palmers Camille, not every two bit rank and file cocker that has an anno job done to it. I see 1 of 1 in a "for sale" ad and automatically assume the seller is trying to decieve somebody.

Hey Spymongoose,

I agree with you. I wasn't trying to imply 1 of 1. Just that with all the factory options you may not see an identical one.

AKA use to (and maybe still do) sell un-annoed Merlin body kits including the spiral milling, chili pepper milling, P-block, and another milling option that I can't remember. I'm sure if they offered the same milling patterns with VLM bodies.

It's possible that the only matching piece missing is the front block. The frame and reg may not have been annoed to match.

I think this marker is kinda hard to price out given that it's a relatively rare VLM milled body that doesn't pop up on the market frequently and it has some highend parts with it too. I think the the $550 price that the seller put is way too high without a front block, but I think $335 is a little low too.

Good luck with this purchase. I wish I had the money to buy it.

Jeff

All right, thanks everybody... the seller didn't disagree that this was the price of his marker, but due to circumstances, couldn't add in the trade so we had to call it off... oh well.

Thanks again.
