'Cocker Low Pressure Chamber

So, are these hype? In the ~10 years I've played paintball, I've NEVER used an LPC, so it's safe to say I don't know much about them. I've got a New Designz LPC that came on a 'cocker I bought (I took it off before I used the marker), but have never been able to compare an LPC to a non-LPC marker. So, in my quest to build an efficient low-pressure paint pincher, would it be worth it to throw the LPC back on there?

I really don't like the way it looks too much, but I love the usefulness of the extended screw, and if it serves a purpose...

Anyway, thanks again for the help.

I've found that they help. You know how when you set your pressure too low, your gun hisses air after each shot? That's because the valve chamber pressure drops too low to seal it. By increasing the volume of the chamber you help retain that sealing pressure.

That said, 2k+ bodies have plenty of room inside as it is.

It is a 2K body, but since I really didn't pay for the chamber, you think I should just toss it on there or sell it for a few bucks?

LPCs are not and have never been hype.

Well, the reason I assumed that was because on many other markers, they really don't serve too much of a purpose. Like the Tippmann Low-Pressure Kit (which consists of a volumizer) really doesn't help all that much. Especially for the price paid.

There are some cocker lpc's that are hype, the reason being is that not all lpc's have a hollow part. ANS was real bad about that on their pre 2k and some post 2k. The part that extends must be hollow to a degree or it does not provide any more chamber area than a normal front block screw.

LPCs, or volumizers, are exactly that ... they add chamber volume. Whether a given gun NEEDS more volume than the standard chamber depends on any number of variables which includes pressure. In *general* the higher pressure operation, the lower volume needed for each shot, hence blowbacks generally do not benefit much from volumizing.

hehehehehe.....just give the MQ example Drg....they need it to get above 260 fps

and help slow recharging Regs in LP setups

oh and would help efficiency with that setup.......i know my slow recharging regs had worse efficiency than my better ones........so if you added more volume...the PSI within the air chamber woudlnt drop so low per shot......decreasing dwell time
