Something about the battery's design is not effective? This battery is a powerex that is advertised as being for paintball. Here's what Colin Moritz of Deadlywind has to say: Quote:
Before I ran out of air, I had the marker working. I tried a Bob Long Torpedo reg set to 150 psi, and then switched back to the CP reg set to 120 psi. The marker was cycling normally and shot perfect. I noticed that on the CP reg, the pressure gradually dropped to around 100psi after a few shots and I had to readjust the pressure back up to 120psi. Then the marker appeared to work normally before I ran out of air. | |

I fix the majority of the "broken" ions by turning the inline reg down. They do the "chuffing" on power up, since you can shoot some before this happens I think you may be getting reg creeping -ie pressure spike. The inline is where I would start if I worked on your gun.

| MCB Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Texas | If the pressure spiked, wouldn't it blow out the gauge? I am using a 160psi gauge because my marker operates normally (or used to, anyway) at around 120psi.Or, is it spiking momentarily when the marker fires. I can see the guage go down and then go right back to where it was. It does not appear to be slowly recharging or gradually increasing in pressure. Colin at deadlywind thinks that the bolt-sail o-ring is the problem. Does that make sense to you? |
