Mags don't mind CO2 if you're using an expansion chamber such as on the PTP micro mags. But they sure don't want to see liquid ever.

I've got 'mags and 'cockers. I love 'em both. For me my choice of marker is all about the feel of how they shoot. The autocockers and automags have really different feels to them so I say get ones that are fairly cheap and get one of each.

For woodsball, which I love far more than tournaments, I like using them with single finger slider frames. I just like using single finger triggers for some reason.

An old classic automag will keep things cheap and although they are rather silver it's not hard to paint them or better yet get them powder coated.

As others have said either are more compact and have less swing weight so you can swing them easier and they don't get fouled up in branches and undergrowth. Especially if you run 12 inch barrels.
