Siphon Tanks

I have a 68 special therefore I need siphon tanks. My old one is out of hydro, and the local shop wants 40.00 to test. I took apart my old 20 oz and removed the line and fittings, anyone know if these fittings will match a Brass eagle tank? I have several 9 oz brass eagles I could use but before I pull them apart I thought I would defer to the wisdom of MCB.

Depends on the valve, and I don't know what Brass Eagle uses... I do know that when I put together my syphon tank, it did fit on one valve, and didn't on the one I had origenally intended to put it on.

Guide to installing a siphon

The EASIEST thing would be to install the siphon WITH the valve, directly into the new tank. Tank threads are all the same, but valves are different.

But if you want to use that Brass Eagle one, couple things to look for:

1- Internal threads. Schreader style usually do not have them. Tippmann style usually do. You need the threads in order to attach that siphon.
2- Thread groove. Many new valves have a "groove" cut into the threads. If that connects to the vent, then the valve is worthless.

You really do not know until you pop the valve off. Fortunetly, valves are pretty cheap- Around $10 or so, but they are not as common as they used to be.

Moose, I think I might have a complete valve with siphon already attached. Send me a PM if you are interested, I would let it go for cost of shipping. It is an older pin valve, but still worked fine before I scrapped the tank it was attached to.

EDIT: Just took a quick look, the valve is gone. However, I still have the complete siphon tube with fittings.
