Odd ball Co2 tank question.. size related.

Did any bottle maker ever produce a chrome molly tank that is the same diameter of a 9 oz but longer?

Only reason Im asking is because the ID Of a CM 9 oz tank is a hair under 2 inches and it fits a nerf rocket perfectly.. Right now Im using a 9 oz tank with the butt end cut off it gives me about 4 inches of barrel that usable for launching the nerf rocket I could stand for something a bit longer.

Yes Im cutting up tanks.. yes Im using it for a Law barrel hehe.. Cutting up old tanks with bad valves and rust is cheaper and easier then buying and machineing threads into a length of aluminum pipe or steel pipe

I have a chromoly 12oz that is the same (or maybe slightly bigger) diameter as a 9oz (It just fits under the barrel of a VM68).
It looks to be about the same length as the 9oz tanks aluminum tanks I've seen.
It was a cheap on that came with a Spyder beginners kit I got a few years ago when I was first getting into paintball.

I can get you make/model & measurements once I get home tonight if you need.
Heck - the tank is yours for the cost of shipping if you want it, it's not TC certified, only DOT & stores around here have started checking and I'm planning on selling the VM68 (not really my cup of tea) so I have no real use/need for the tank.

yeah catalina made a 10oz that feels like it is 6 foot long and is about the width of a 7oz, mate bought a dozen of them around 15 years ago and they have never been used/sold as they are so long and hard to use.

ITs got to be a molly tank...

The catalina aluminums are under 2 inch ID.. I know I chopped the bottom of a 7 oz tank and went.. "DOH!"

BUT!

Here we go

front half is an old brass eagle molly 9 oz tank

I shot a 3.5 oz out of a cannon once, I thought that was what this thread was about :P

It went through 3 layers of crates(through one then through the first wall of the second). It didn't even get damaged.

Okay no.. hehe.. I almost shat myself once when I launched a 20 oz by accident when I was using an on off valve and forgot to shut it off.. Way back when in the late 90's...

Never again... The tank is actually the barrel in this case.

would the old brass eagle flat bottom 9 ounce (think they where steel) work?

Thats what I have on there now...slightly rounded bottom cut off.

I just would like something a little longer so I can have a more effective barrel length
