| ok, i got a quote of $75.35 each if i order 3 taps. it'll take 2 days to make them and since the length of the tap is so long, there is no guaruntee or replacement if the tap breaks. one other thing i'd like to ask is, which style do you think will be better a Bottoming style or Plug style??? also, i'm looking for a third person who will want a tap. so far Jimmy and me are two... i need a third. Bacci, are you interested? |

| Awesome !!!! Good job Chad !!!! after taking a closer look... it looks like all the threads are the same depth meaning they used a bottoming tap too make them... We should be fine using the same to chase them... I tried to weekend too make something but I realized that I have the tooling for coarse thread making... Need to order the finer cutting tips... I did make some 1/2 inch threaded rod just too try.. it's not too difficult once you figured out the settings for the lathe... I'll shoot you a PM later for sending the cash.... |
