| Connecting a slide-check to a reg? Hi everyone So i can't sleep and i am just wondering: A typical slide check valve look like it have 1/8 NTP threading on both side, on one side is a female, the other side is a male. Since i have an air america raptor rex regulator and a remote line: Can i: Replace the quick disconnect output that is on the air america reg with the male end of the slide check. And connect the female end of the slide check to the remote line in place of where the usual on off would be. Is this possible? Will it be able to handle the output pressure, which it would have to handle anyway if the slide check is on the other end of the remote. |

| update: nevermind, just read up on how a slide check work on here: Ariakon Paintball: How a Slide-Check Valve Works So in essense if i were to connect the slidecheck in the way proposed above, the tank would vent when ever i have it in the off position. And i can't connect the slidevalve directly even with using SS hose, without resorting to a female to female connector from palmer. My question is then would be, can i just connect the 1/8 end of the remote line directly to the regulator and leave it pressurize at all time, is this a good idea? thanks |

| the easiest way is, connect the remote to the reg, then use the slide check. the remote line will still be pressurized, but it will "keep" as long as there are no leaks. would also suggest using a QD at the end of the slide check. makes life so much easier. and finally, a proconnect can be used in place of BOTH the slide check and QDs, but run a little bit more, but you can find them in the $25-35 range. |

| Go to swagloc they are the best. When I was doing chemistry the SwageLoc sales guys really wanted to work on my guns to run all sorts of hardlines or quick disconnect combos... I wish now that I had let them

| Swagelok.com the source for tube fittings, valves, and other fluid system components Sorry I miss spelled it... And I don't think Carters would be safer then swageloks but to each his own I guess
